Best Ways To Remove Stretch Marks

A lot of people consider stretch marks a big hassle; especially when you want to show some skin. While women who have become pregnant are often the most common -and vocal- victims of stretch marks, people from anywhere and from all walks of life can get them. This is why I'm dedicated to helping you find ways to remove stretch marks.

For the more health and nature-conscious among you, there are also ways to naturally remove stretch marks, using ingredients you could get from your own kitchen or by taking preventative measures like having a balanced diet and always keeping your skin hydrated.

Stretch marks are the unsightly lines that often form on an area of the skin that has stretched considerably. For example, a woman who has gotten pregnant is very likely to get stretch marks on her breasts and belly, because these parts of the body will swell to accommodate the baby and the nourishment that the baby needs.

A kid going through puberty could get stretch marks just about anywhere –especially if they’d grown considerably during their growth spurt.

Someone who has lost and gained a lot of weight can also get stretch marks, and it can be a big damper on the season if you end up having to cover up the bikini body you’d worked so hard to get for the summer just because you got a few stretch marks.

Whether their claims are real or not, there are a lot of products and ways to naturally remove stretch marks available both on- and offline. One thing we have to consider though; is that stretch marks are essentially scars. When a person’s body grows or stretches out, sometimes, the dermis, or the middle layer of a person’s skin, cannot take the strain and can tear. When that happens, stretch marks occur.

Usually, when this happens, it doesn’t hurt, but the surface of the stretch marks themselves will often feel somewhat “empty” to the touch, and slightly softer. They’ll usually also be a bright red or purplish color that may fade a little over time, but unless steps are taken, they don’t usually disappear completely.

While there are a couple of surefire ways to get rid of stretch marks; surgery, for example, there are cheaper, safer ways to remove stretch marks: simply by applying topical creams or lotions on a regular basis, it’s actually possible for a person to lose their stretch marks.

If you want to work that smokin’ two-piece this summer, rubbing cocoa butter on the affected area once or twice a day can be a good way to naturally remove stretch marks. Cocoa butter contains moisturizing agents that moisturize the skin and improve its elasticity and healing ability, and with regular application, a good diet, and a few other steps, you’ll find out that the problem of how to lose stretch marks might not be a problem at all. There are other products specifically formulated to remove stretch marks, but sometimes, they can be a bit pricey.

If you really want your skin to look a hundred per cent flawless right away, but don’t have the resources or the desire to go under the knife or the laser, you can also try to apply self-tanning lotion or concealer over the stretch marks. Doing this evens out the skin tone of the affected area, making it appear completely smooth. Of course, one thing to be careful about is the possibility of whatever you apply to cover up your stretch marks staining your clothing or rubbing off.

To fix this, you can cover the area up with an extra layer of sun block or moisturizer. While this might sometimes work, it usually doesn’t work that well, so if you really want to make sure that whatever you use to hide your stretch marks won’t get messed up by your clothes and vice versa, you can be a little risqué: try to keep clothing or anything else away from the area as much as possible. Also, if you’re planning on going for a swim, make sure to use a waterproof product, so that all that work you’d have put into covering up your stretch marks doesn’t just wash away after a few minutes of splashing around.

All that covering up and application of topical lotions or stretch mark creams can be a bit bothersome though, so one way to make sure that you won’t have to worry about your stretch marks is to work on not getting any at all in the first place.

One of the best ways to remove stretch marks is to not get stretch marks at all - easier said than done, I know. You can do this by making sure that your skin retains its elasticity by drinking sufficient amounts of water.

Another answer to how to naturally remove stretch marks is to have a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables with vitamins A and E, as well as exercising regularly. These all contribute to healthy skin and body, and can make you feel better as a whole.
